The Internet's Effect on 2008 Presidential Campaigns
Here is a look at how the candidates utilized their technological resources througout the campaigning process. I think in the future candidates will be able to do much more as our technology advances, but how much is too much? Does it get a little over the top at some point?

ReplyDeleteAlthough this article was from before the 2008 election, it raises some interesting points—and questions. The author was right in assessing that technology would play a large role in the 2008 election, but do you think candidates have used technology (including the uber-popular YouTube) to its full potential? What are other ways they could capitalize on this powerful medium in the future?
ReplyDeleteUsing the internet to post videos and statements during a campaign means that a politician is able to present what is hopefully a very polished message—all while avoiding those pesky follow up questions which would follow during a debate or press conference. Do you think this is a good thing for the voting public?
